1. Most veterinarians charge charge $25 - $40 for the insertion of a microchip.
2. After inserted, there is an additional charge (about $20) to register the microchip.
3. A microchip is meaningless unless registered to the pet owner because scanning the
microchip will not reveal the contact information for the owner unless it is registered.
4. Therefore, the whole process often costs the pet owner $60 or more.
5. Most of our microchipping events include a specific number of free microchips including
the cost of microchip registration.
6. The earliest registrants will be included among those receiving free microchipping.
7. Once the alotment of free microchips has been exhausted, we ask for a minimum
donation of $10 for each microchipping procedure performed and this will include
the cost of microchip registration.
8. If free microchipping is not important to you, please take this opportunity to donate
$10 by clicking on the "donate" button below. This will preserve the free microchipping
for someone who may be less fortunate.
Please Note that you will be notified of the next
Microchipping Event in your area and the number of free microchipping procedures to be performed. Next Topic: Microchip Registration
